This one day class will cover critical design and installation factors necessary to ensure that existing residential HVAC systems have the lowest operating costs while delivering optimal performance for occupant comfort and safety. Dan Perunko of Balance Point Home Performance will provide attendees field-demonstrated lessons learned regarding duct conduction, duct leakage, airflow, refrigerant charge, equipment capacity, and disaggregating heating and cooling costs. Students are encouraged to have a basic understanding of Manual J software and residential whole building performance prior to taking this class.
