Improve the performance and reduce the cost of an energy-efficient, Indirect-Direct Evaporative Cooler (IDEC) for residential and small-commercial buildings. This project has developed a low-cost advanced heat exchanger for the unit and a new cabinet of engineering polymer optimized for best airflow using a variable-speed fan. Initial test results are quite promising and a large manufacturer is gearing up for production of the unit.
