Determine how incorporating narrow streets and shade trees into the designs of low-income single-family housing developments can help reduce ambient temperature. Extensive climate data has been collected from five manufactured home / trailer communities in Sacramento that have tree canopy coverage ranging from 10% to 90%. A database of these communities is being developed for the purpose of building an analytical model for these and other low-income communities.
