Multiplex Refrigeration in a Small Sit-Down Restaurant

This project retrofitted a high-efficiency, multiplex refrigeration system and a high efficiency air-cooled condenser into a small, sit-down restaurant. An advanced control system, coupled with a variable speed drive, will float the head pressure as a function of ambient conditions. In addition, energy efficient reach-in cabinets will be evaluated as part of the project.

Due to roof structural concerns at the site and lack of other adequate equipment space, program staff recommended a new package of measures in lieu of the multiplex refrigeration system. A new set of measures will be proposed and installed at the site and documented in a separate project record.
