Indirect-direct evaporative coolers (IDECs) offer increased comfort over direct evaporative coolers and only use a fraction of the energy required by conventional air conditioning systems. However, past efforts to develop this technology have been hampered by reliability issues. Newer systems may help overcome these challenges. This report describes the results of a research project featuring the OASys: an IDEC system manufactured by Speakman CRS.
