Technology Resource Incubator Outreach (TRIO) Roundtable: Learn About Intellectual Property Protection and Financing Alternatives for Your Company

Event Overview: TRIO is a statewide initiative by the members of the Emerging Technology Coordinating Council (ETCC) designed to accelerate market introduction of energy efficient products and services by providing information, training, and access to energy utility resources. TRIO’s goal is to promote early stage innovations that will contribute to California’s energy savings targets for the future, as well as meeting national goals for energy efficiency.

Learn about the Utilities’ Emerging Technology Program and how it can benefit the commercialization of your energy efficiency or demand response technology. Explore how intellectual property protection can add value to your company, what are the steps to obtain protection and how to determine if your technology is patentable or otherwise protectable. This session will discuss the various sources of financing for your young company or new technology. What are the options, which is right for your company?

Who should attend: Entrepreneurs, technology companies, researchers and investors

All attendees will have the opportunity to network with SDG&E, SoCalGas, SCE, PG&E, and SMUD staff managing technology adoption, evaluation and implementation

Registration: Pre-registration is encouraged. There is no fee to attend.
