Leave a legacy, not a carbon footprint

It’s the topic of our time, saving energy. Each day seems to bring new products, ideas, and technologies that could make a difference to our planet – and our pocketbooks.

But are all green solutions created equal? Which are the most effective and reliable? Which make sense to the environment and to the bottom line?

Now you can help answer those questions. By hosting or participating in one of Emerging Technologies’ pilot studies, you will be at the forefront of finding the finest energy efficiency solutions for Californians at home, work, and in industry.

How it works

Emerging Technologies is constantly screening energy efficiency technologies. Those technologies that make it into the next phase—assessment—are often tested in real-life situations: in homes, office buildings, grocery stores, laboratories, schools, and scores of other locations. Participants benefit by saving money on energy costs, and by enjoying the satisfaction of being on the cutting edge of the next generation of green technologies.

Do you have an energy efficiency idea or technology?

If you’re an inventor or business owner with an energy efficiency idea or product, we’d like to talk.

Emerging Technologies is actively searching for technologies that significantly increase energy efficiency or are exemplary at reducing power use during peak demand times—and that satisfy customers at home, work, and in industry. All promising hardware, software, design tools, strategies, services, and ideas will be considered.

Technologies that make it through Emerging Technologies’ screening process will be assessed using rigorous, measurable criteria, often in real-life situations and locations. Innovations must be market ready or very close to market ready, and the manufacturer must possess adequate production capabilities. Technologies that meet Emerging Technologies’ standards achieve accelerated marketing and promotion to customers and possible assimilation into incentive programs.

If you have a product that is market ready and you would like to contact the Investor Owned Utilities to review your product, please contact us.
