Office heating and cooling systems and increasingly powerful electronic devices such as laptops, printers, and cell phones take significant amounts of energy and are expected to heavily tax California's energy reserves unless efficiency strategies are employed. Emerging Technologies is testing energy efficiency solutions for the commercial sector that keep pace or enhance our economic growth, including wireless HVAC controls, smart plugs, and stairwell dimmable lighting.
