Hospitality

Dining out or spending a night in a hotel just got a lot more energy efficient. By assessing technologies such as card-key guestroom controls, occupancy-based guestroom controls, and ozone laundry systems, Emerging Technologies looks to identify the best, most reliable methods of reducing energy expenses in hotels and motels. In addition, Emerging Technologies is assessing the most promising solutions for California's food service industry, which consumes $1 billion of energy a year.
