Santa brought you an Echo? Here's how to save maximum energy.

Amazon has such demand for their smart home hub Echo over the holidays that the company actually ran out of stock. If you are one of the millions of owners of this home speaker/digital assistant, you might be interested to know that it can do more than just make shopping lists and give you the forecast. The ecosystem around Amazon's hub continues to expand and includes products that have the potentail to save significant amounts of energy, including thermostats, smart lights, and advanced power strips. Tech magazine Digital Trends recently published a fairly comprehensive listing of all the technologies that are currently compatable with the Echo, which is worth checking out if owners of smart gadgets are looking to gain the greatest energy savings from their purchases (or gifts).
