Project Summary

This assessment project will determine the potential demand and energy savings, as a function of hotel room occupancy rates, for replacing existing guest room bathroom wall switches with wall switches with a built-in occupancy sensor and LED nightlight. This new energy efficiency product was developed through the California Energy Commission\'s PIER program under Contract No. 500-01-041-0, Project 4.1. SCE\'s assessment project will monitor and retrofit forty guest rooms divided among four hotel facilities in Southern California.
