Project Summary

Southern California Edison evaluated the potential energy savings of replacing obsolete 500W incandescent lamps with third-generation, programmable start, ballasted T8s, also known as Super T8s. The new lighting system is composed of high-lumen F32T8 lamps and ultra high-efficiency, program start electronic ballasts. The new lighting systems were installed in the boiler and chiller rooms at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall, Downey, California.
