Phase Change Materials Webinar Hosted by the California Energy Commission's EPIC Program

Wednesday, August 16, 2017 - 10:00am to 11:00am

On August 16, 2017 at 10:00 am PDT, California Energy Commission staff will host a one-hour webinar to share information on innovative projects focusing on phase change materials and their exciting potential to make zero net energy buildings more affordable. Phase change materials (PCM) are materials that change from one phase (i.e., solid, liquid or gas) to another at a designated temperature.

--Martin Vu and Kyle Dunn, RMS Energy Consulting, LLC, will discuss their work with phase change materials evaluation.
--Laurent Pilon and Guarav Sant, UCLA, will discuss the design, energy and cost-saving potentials of cement-based composite building materials containing microencapsulated phase change materials.

There will be a Q&A session following the presentation, and a bonus session after the webinar will provide information about the EPIC and Emerging Technologies programs, funding opportunities, and how to get involved.
