TRIO Symposium - January 27, 2011, UC San Diego

Explore How the Utilities can Help you Speed your Energy Efficiency and DR Idea to Market

Sponsored by Sempra Utilities and the Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

at UCSD, San Diego

If you have a new energy efficiency or DR technology then SDG&E, SCE, SoCal Gas, PG&E and SMUD can help you bring your product to market and access incentives.

This TRIO Symposium is brought to you by the Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council (ETCC) sponsored by the California utilities, California Energy Commission and California Public Utilities Commission.

This program has received high marks from attendees when presented in Santa Barbara and Berkeley. Symposium participants will learn:

  • How regulatory drivers such as loading order and decoupling are important to entrepreneurs, investors, and researchers.
  • How to use utility programs and incentives to drive market adoption and sales.
  • How the Emerging Technologies (ET) program supports the introduction of new technologies.
  • How to meet data requirements for ET assessments.
  • How to work with approved 3rd party implementors to install new technologies.
  • How to leverage existing energy efficiency partnerships universities, national labs, energy utilities, and the investment community.
  • How investors can use utility company resources to assess opportunities.

The Technology Resource Incubator Outreach (TRIO) Symposium is a statewide initiative by the members of the ETCC designed to accelerate market introduction of energy efficient products and services by providing information, training, and access to energy utility resources. TRIO’s goal is to promote early stage innovations that will contribute to California’s energy savings targets for the future, as well as meeting national goals for energy efficiency.

This free event is a must attend for key stakeholders including entrepreneurs, investors, technology transfer officers, researchers, and other professionals who are creating the future for intelligent use of cost-effective energy efficient technologies in California.
