Webinar on Emerging Technologies: Energy Savings in Plug Loads

-

On May 31, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. PDT, California Energy Commission staff will host a one-hour webinar to share projects with a focus on energy efficiency savings in plug loads. Learn how innovative approaches to managing loads can achieve significant savings on a wide range of applications.

Speakers:

  • Vojin Zivojnovic and Davorin Mista of AGGIOS, Inc. will discuss their research on using mobile design practices, hardware components, and energy management software to reduce consumption on other plug load devices, such as set-top boxes, televisions, computers, and game consoles.
  • Allison Paradise of My Green Lab and Alison Farmer of kW Engineering will discuss their research on ultra-low temperature freezers and the Center for Energy Efficient Laboratories’ effort to establish ENERGY STAR standards for energy-efficient lab equipment.

There will be a Q&A session following the presentations.

This webinar is co-sponsored by the Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council (ETCC). Council members include Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Southern California Edison, San Diego Gas & Electric, Southern California Gas Company, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and the Energy Commission.
