California Energy Commission EPIC Symposium - December 3rd

Join the CEC EPIC Symposium on Dec. 3rd

Learn the latest in energy innovation research funded under Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) at the EPIC Symposium on Thursday, December 3 at the Lake Natoma Inn (702 Gold Lake Drive) in Folsom.  This one-day event is open to the public and free to attend.

Participants include Cal Fire, the California Independent Systems Operator, CA Natural Resources Agency, CA Department of Food and Agriculture, California Institute for Energy and Environment, Electric Power Research Institute, California League of Food Processors, Habitat for Humanity San Joaquin County, and DeYoung Properties and will discuss a variety of innovations with researchers.

Among the topics included: energy efficiency in new and existing buildings; energy efficiency in agriculture and water sectors; advances in residential solar power; new LED lighting solutions, bioenergy, grid operations in real-time; renewable energy forecasting, and vehicle to grid applications.

EPIC is an energy innovation funding program that seeks to drive efficient, coordinated investment in new and emerging energy solutions. 

Hosted by the California Energy Commission, Pacific Gas & Electric, San Diego Gas & Electric Company, and Southern California Edison, this first EPIC symposium begins at 9:00 AM and features sessions covering three themes: energy efficiency; generation & integration; data analytics and systems architecture.
