First "mid-priced" EVs sold in California… and they’re not from Tesla

Chevy has beat Tesla to market with the first mid-priced, long-range all-electric vehicle. Cleantechnica is reporting that the first few Chevy Bolts have just been delivered to customers in California. The Bolt boasts many features similar to the upcoming Tesla Model 3 with a claimed 238-mile range, 0-60 in 6.3 seconds, high safety ratings, and a price tag just north of $35,000 before tax breaks or incentives. Plus, the Bolt may have a shorter wait time than the Model 3, which now has over 400,000 pre-orders. Elon Musk has always said he welcomes competition in the all-electric car market as a means of advancing the entire sector. It looks like Chevrolet is ready to take him up on that challenge!
