Project Summary

The primary goal is to accelerate market transformation by validating the heating energy savings and associated cooking oil cost savings for ENERGY STAR® rated fryers at 17 sites using various manufacturers and models. We found the operational savings in oil is valued approximately 3 times of the gas savings.  Performance and the product quality improvements are obvious and significant.  A flyer is published and used for marketing outreach.  As a result of the test, many owners decided to buy more EnergyStar fryers.
